Older works

From end 2003 till mid 2009 I worked mainly with "papier-maché".

For the last sculptures (period of january 2008 till juin 2009) I adapted the recipe of my papier-maché so that when it dries it becomes so hard and strong that afterwards I can pollish it and rub it with wax and bister (a brown colour gained from walnuts). That's why they have their brown bone-like or wood-like look.

Before that I used papier-maché together with latex. And even latex on its own, also.
With latex I could experiment with movebility and deformation, and that inspired me a lot. It's much more as life itself, changing and evolving. Unfortunately I also discoverd the downside of that: like everything that is alive, it starts to decay from the moment it's created.
Most of my sculptures in latex don't exist anymore.
